Discover the Land of Mountains
A land of mountains, lakes, nomadic culture and unforgettable adventures.
Kyrgyzstan is a land of stunning nature, rich culture and warm hospitality. From high mountains and crystal lakes to ancient traditions and nomadic life — here you will find experiences you will never forget. Less than 10 million people call it home, but its mountains, plains and valleys hold beauty that could fill a lifetime of exploration.
Kyrgyzstan is home to some of the world's most breathtaking alpine scenery. Trek to the turquoise waters of Ala-Kul, camp by the vast plateau of Song-Kul at 3,016 metres, swim in the warm waters of Issyk-Kul — the world's second largest alpine lake — or venture deep into the Tien Shan to discover the remote mirror-like surface of Kel-Suu. Every lake tells a different story, and every mountain pass reveals a new world waiting to be explored.
Plan This Experience
Kyrgyzstan's soul lives in its nomadic heritage. Stay with local Kyrgyz families in traditional yurts — the round felt homes that have sheltered Central Asian nomads for millennia. Share homemade bread, fermented mare's milk (kumys) and freshly cooked shashlik. Watch master craftswomen weave felt carpets (shyrdaks) with geometric patterns that carry centuries of meaning. Listen to the haunting sound of the komuz, a three-stringed lute that is the heart of Kyrgyz music.

In Kyrgyzstan, horses are not just animals — they are part of the national identity. Horse riding tours in Kyrgyzstan take you through wide open valleys, across mountain passes and along nomadic trails ridden for thousands of years. Whether you are an experienced rider or a complete beginner, our guides will match you with the right horse and route. Trips range from gentle day rides around Issyk-Kul to multi-day expeditions sleeping in yurts under a sky full of stars.
Plan This Experience
For those who want to earn their views on foot, Kyrgyzstan offers some of the finest trekking in Central Asia. The Ala-Kul trekking route through the Terskey Ala-Too range is legendary — a challenging multi-day journey to a high-altitude glacial lake at 3,560 metres. Issyk-Kul travel opens up endless hiking options around its shores and into the peaks above. Longer routes connect remote valleys and cross high passes where you may not see another person for days.
Plan This Experience
Much of Kyrgyzstan's most spectacular scenery is only accessible by 4×4. Our jeep tours in Kyrgyzstan take you to remote valleys, dramatic red sandstone canyons, high mountain roads above 4,000 metres and hidden plateau camps where nomadic families still spend their summers. From the Naryn canyon to the Suusamyr Valley, from the dramatic At-Bashi range to the remote Batken region — a jeep opens the true Kyrgyzstan that most visitors never see.
Plan This Experience
Kyrgyzstan is a photographer's paradise — a land where the light is extraordinary, the landscapes are vast and the culture is rich with visual stories. Photo tours are timed to catch the golden hour at Song-Kul, the blue hour above Issyk-Kul and the early-morning mist in mountain valleys. Photograph nomadic families in their yurts, eagle hunters with their birds, horses crossing rivers and children playing traditional games on emerald mountain meadows.
Plan This Experience
Kyrgyzstan is beautiful in every season — but each season offers a different experience.
April – May
Green valleys burst into life as wildflowers carpet the mountain meadows. Ideal for photography, cultural visits and early horse riding tours. Roads open gradually and crowds are minimal.
June – August
Peak season for trekking, yurt stays and lake swimming. Song-Kul fills with nomadic families. Ala-Kul trekking is at its best. Warm days, cool mountain nights and long golden evenings.
September – October
Perhaps the most beautiful season — golden and red forests, dramatic light, harvest festivals and fewer crowds. Ideal for photography tours, jeep expeditions and cultural immersion.
November – March
A magical white landscape with dramatic light and deep snow. Ski options around Bishkek and Karakol. Some high passes close, but lowland routes, eagle hunting tours and cozy yurt stays remain.
Tell us your travel dates and interests. We will help you build the right route for your Kyrgyzstan adventure — whether it is a trek to Ala-Kul, a Song-Kul yurt stay, an Issyk-Kul road trip or a mix of everything.
